We play many roles in our daily lives and try to find harmony between work, self, family and relationships. I have learned self-reflection and gained an understanding of this delicate balance through my own personal and professional experiences. Being a real person with a real partner and kids, I have found ways to make my relationships healthier and minimized the impact of traditional pitfalls and stressors.
It is most beneficial for a client to have a healthy, productive relationship with their therapist. It is equally important to me to have a healthy relationship with my clients. While I help you understand your current relationships and individual needs, I also believe that therapy can be a good way to be change your approach to interpersonal relationships. In our sessions, I check in on how you’re feeling. I often ask, “How is our approach working in your life? Are you satisfied with the work we are doing?”
My practice focuses on working with both individuals and couples who want to make changes in their lives. These changes typically involve overcoming established, often unhealthy, patterns in relationships, but we also focus on life transitions, parenting difficulties, communication issues, and specific interactions with friends, partners or family. In therapy, clients often describe feelings of anxiety or depression. Together, we learn to recognize the impact on their marriages or friendships and find ways to successfully reconnect.
